TurkSat 4A/3A@ 42 East

Yes this sure is cross-polar reception of TRT transponder 11958 V.
More chance of locking a cross-polar transponder with a big dish like yours!
You may even find two directions (for example towards 41.5° and 42.5°) where such signals are strongest.
This is normal behaviour of offset dishes.

Many thanks, that's another one to watch for then, is there any way to try and prevent this are is it something we have to live with please.

I think so, apparently Greogian and such dishes have less of this phenomenon.
But if the LNB is aligned properly, the opposite polarisation is well suppressed exactly in the direction where the signal of the wanted polarisation is maximum.

Thanks again I will check back when I am happy with the alignment, ive not had the time to set it up accurately yet.

Certainly, no new tp on the east beam.
I ve checked the east beam tps.

Thanks hvdh, I will have a read up,

Hi, I am getting 11021 H 2220 and 11014 H 9600 3A East beam, be interesting to see some reports from other areas.
Can only see West beam from here on the 1m dish, no sign of East, Africa or Turkiye

( Did find TRT Sport HD for anyone interested )

I don't scan here often and the two TP mentioned was coming in weaker than most, I will check later and see if I can get anymore from this beam.

I've done tests with three antennas at 42.0E:150 cm,110 cm and T90.You have here the reception report with these three sizes of antennas in my area, which I have to admit that is favorable for Türksat. So it's not my merit that I have good signal with all three of these antennas.

Thank you satesco, i don't appear to be getting anything else from the 3A east beam 11021 H 2220 is very weak now its clouded over. certainly 3A is fringe at my location.

Please ignore Nilesat

11021H is not too difficult to pull in here Martin with a Gibby 1.2, but depends on weather conditions as usual, although it's cloudy just now when I locked it.

Thanks Llew, do you lock anymore transponders from the 3A beam please 11014 H 9600 is a little stronger here than 11021 H 2220.

Yes, 11014H comes in slightly stronger. I'll do a scan of other TPs on 3A in due course. Not really expecting a great deal, but who knows?

11014H about 9.8 dB here and Kyrgyzstan (ELTR) 9.0 dB. This newest ELTR frequency stronger than earlier 10957H was.

Hi -
I stand corrected here :) -- in the other thread last night, i said i had nothing from turksat east beams.
but indeed i can see those two -- just wondering now if its more evidence of blind spots with the c.m. feedhorn -(got the inverto l.n.b.,f on there now) -- or just me not being thorough last time i was on this sat:(.
