A lock on the 18703 comes with me when the 18738 is at least 9.1 dB.

Today finally again all transponders with 2.20m. The 18703 did not work for several days.

Stephan94,
You may need a piece of PTFE down the mouth of the LNB at 45 degrees to the probes to create circular polarisation. That should improve reception.

Just had a look here and the mux on 18669L has gone and some channel changes have occurred in 18774L. 18739L is as shown on Lyngsat.

Hello Stephan94,

the values with 1.80m and linear LNB are completely okay.

best regards

Using the linear pol feed so I'm losing 3dB, 18709 is the strongest here. I get a bit of noise from a tree on 42E further degrading the signals. How strong are these TPs with others in UK?

I'll plot it later G, i can set the lnb to Vert pol and take a grab and then turn to LHC and take a grab to show the difference. Levels are up and down around those frequencies for me as well. Using the 1.2 Gibby / Gilat lnb board / Gilat poloriser

The levels are all over the place here at the moment and are changing rapidly between the three carriers seen on the grabs.
Here's two grabs - the Green plot is with correct LHC pol and the Red plot is with Vert Linear setting - as you can see, they don't make sense.

If you consider that 18708 is fluctuating in signal level then the plots seem to be OK?
The only oddity is the signal level of 18708, perhaps it is not LHC which accounts for it being at a reduced level when the polariser is in line and at higher level when the polariser is removed?

The world of the wavy line men aint simple, thats for sure.

Here in the West of England the mux on 18709 is definitely circularly polarised and locked with 13dB C/N. The other two muxes no longer lock. They still appear to be circular and the stronger of the two is 18738. I guess they have been moved to a different beam.

Thanks for checking Simon - i can say for sure all three carriers are LHC as per my motorised Pol H/V/L/R on the Band A rig. Signals are best in mid afternoon onwards with me.
** Also checked RHC / H / V just in case 5B was using something there for tests, nothing seen. Checked Ka Band C & D , nothing seen as yet. Upper Ku Extended nothing seen.

Quite strong tonight, had to try my modded Inverto Saorsat LNBF on the Sky dish - the old one for the pre-digital service. (60cm?)

The advantage of the Inverto is of course it's ideal for the L/R circular transmissions, like this one.

Next job is to try it on the Gibby next to the Inverto KA/KB LNBF.

Now on Gibby 1.2.

A decent increase of signal, even on 18738L, though not enough to lock (as we have noted, signal reception differs considerably over 24 hours on these TPs. For my location, best noon onwards. )

The Saorsat's output gain suffered when it was modded, so it has a 20dB inline amp to RX.
Its 'twistable' cap has a slit for a dielectric insert for linear TPs.
