Turksat - I only receive half the channels

Hi guys,

I have a 90cm dish with 0.1lnb. I have alligned the dish with Turksat at 42 degrees East - I have a good signal (90% + for the most part) but I'm missing some channels - 80 or so?

For example, I wanted to recieve the Turkish cyprus channel "Kibris tv" on tp 13 "12544 H" - even when I input this in manually - I just cannot get the signal to lock and it finds no channels.

I'm by no means an expert and had help in alligning the dish from a professional installer who used a very expensive sat finder.

Any ideas?

12.544H comes in loud and clear here (East Anglia) with a 90cm dish. Do you receive any other channels on high band? For instance 12562V?
 
Just checked, the channels are picked up but they fragment quite badly.
 
What I mean is channels Aba and Akilli tv are picked up but they fragment real bad, they're on tp 12562 V.
 
Check your line of sight, and also if tweaking the dish brings them in a bit better. Don't forget the LNB skew and focus. Is the cable Ok, not damaged or kinked.

Getting a good signal on 12562V here, no probs.12544h even stronger.
 
I originally had high quality cable from Virgin media, but the guy who fitted it replaced it with some other stuff that was a bit bendier. I pick up sky etc with a great signal and most of the Turksat channels are a great signal.

I think I got 2 excited when they initially found Turksat - when I should have calmly searched all channels before I let them do one.

Is it easily fixed? I ain't getting on those ladders!
 
I've just been told that some DM500 boxes have weak tuners and this may be the problem?
