TVBS- Eurobird 9

Hi every one, We are having trouble recieving TVBS. I have paid for the Irdeto viewing card. But i cannot pick the signal up?

I need: Frequency 11823
Symbol Rate 27500 Fec 3/4
Polarisation Horizontal

And I can only recieve: Frequency 11822
Symbol Rate 27499 Fec 3/4
Polarisation Horizontal

Anyone know what we are doing wrong?

Hi,

The transponder should still lock with the data you have ie. 11.822h, 27499 and 3/4.

If your receiver is showing the above info and you have no signal the problem will be else where; possibly dish alignment etc.

When you say "And I can only recieve: Frequency 11822" what do you mean, can you get a signal and quality reading on that setting?

Can you watch CCTV 4 Europe or Telelombardia?

Satelliteman-so i have dish alignment problems? i have brought a signal finder on that it shows very strong readings

rolfw-I cannot watch CCTV4/Telelombardia or any of the TVBS chanels the exact message on screen says scrambled or no video/audio. And the signal quality is around 60% for each of them.

You are probably aligned onto the wrong satellite - 13E has some scrambled channels on 11823H

If you are on a satellite, see if you can find any other channels that work on the receiver to determine the satellite your on and post them here. It's very easy to lock onto 13e instead of 9e... I have done it a few times.

Your are on 13e

From looking at the dish in front, move it left a fraction and up a small notch. The dish needs to be moved 4° in a Westerly direction, it only relates to about an inch or less of pyshical movement. Monitor the receiver screen or meter whilst doing it.

cannot find a signal or satellite to the left(westerly direction) am i doing something wrong? if i move the dish quite far the the west i get a signal but thats not within the inch or so you describe?

if i move to the right(easterly), about and inch and down alitte. I get a strong signal.

Go back to your hotbird 13E position. When looking at the dish you want to move the lnb about an inch and a half to the LEFT. You cant miss Eurobird 9 - shes chucking out a huge signal.

It's was only a very small movement from your original postion you had.... a flick of the wrist action.

Left = looking at the dish from in front the LNb
Right = looking from behind the dish at the back.

Hi guys, heres whats happening. I moved it to the left an inch or so, the signal is on number 7. 13e is on number 10 signal! so i rescanned and the reciever pick up CCTV and Telelombardia. GREAT! However there is no picture on the channels? is there something wrong with my subscribtion? or are these two channels free to air?

You may need to raise the dish slightly to improve the signal, as 9E is slightly higher in the sky and yes, both FTA and both easily receivable.

CCTV and Telelombardia is WORKING Thanks guys!!

But I cannot see TVBS, it says No Access. So i take it that means something to do with my subscribtion? i rang tvbs today and they said they activated it do i need to do anything else to get it working?

Glad your up and running. TVBS will switch the card on, just leave the receiver on and over a few hours and you should have viewing on the 5 channels :-righton
