Hi,

I have for some reason have two dishes and am using both with some splitter. Would it not be possible that i am locked to 13e and 9e?

Could you kindly advise how i would know when or what satellite i am locked to?

Hi,

Could someone please help, i have tried to reposition the dish but i still can only find hotbird channels. I have used the advanced search on my box and set satelitte to eurobird with the correct frequencies etc. It is showing a strong signal but i am still locked on the wrong box.

Yes I am a late migrater :D
I am able to locate eurobird 9 but cant seem to pick up tvb, the stb is showing it receiving single from it but cannot tune in 11823 H 27500 3/4

readjusted the dish and one more time before it got dark and very cold and finally manage to tune into TVB :-googly.

However the smartcard did not let me watch it! :(
It's not what they say "Please insert the smart card and enjoy the high quality program"!! Bet they need to activate my card

I have been watching the tvb1 and cctv4 ok up until 01/02/10 when have no signal from cctv4. TVB is fine.
Ive read on another forum that cctv4 has changed to 11997V 27500 3/4
But I have no idea how to receive the new cctv4 signal.
I am using the topfield tf6400ir as supplied from tvb.

Any help is most appreciated
 
Hi, try a receiver channel scan. Then do an A-Z search for the channel.

Sorry Im a beginner at doing this.

Ive tried going in the the installations menu and have done an installations search but still the same tvb channels but still missing the cctv4.

It seems to be searching only in the 11823.00mhz, pol h, sr27500 (signal strength 81% quality 99%)
I can change it to pol V (signal 80% quality 0)

I cant seem to change the frequency even when doing a manual search.

I am using a topfield tf6400ir receiver (as supplied from tvb)

I am unsure how the add a new transponder to the receiver 11997v 27500 3/4 something that I read from another forum (If im talking gibberish pls let me know)

hi problem solved , i didnt realise that i need to type in the frequency myself, just assumed the receiver would find it.

Just a quick update, I've gone through 2 switches and 1 receiver at home :D the technomate kinda didnt like the power cuts we keep getting. The switches were cheapo's from ebay but a pain to keep getting the ladder out and changing them so I spent a couple of quid more on a better one (6 quid this time ;) ). This technomate was out of warranty so i took it apart. what was happening was it'd start up fine, then lose signal strength and quality on 1 then 2 lnb's resulting in a hot box and no channels. I assumed something had blown due to the power cut so I had a look and lo and behold a 2200uF 10V capacitor looked bulging compared to the others on the power supply board. I've ordered a couple of replacements and will try to solder them on. This is not a job for anyone cack handed but I've done soldering before. Will let everyone know the result when I've done it, otherwise the technomate is consigned to the scrapheap.

As for the eurobird 9 and chinese channel, missus cancelled the subscription as most of the stuff was available on internet, and tvb have a new live news stream on their own site so didn't see the point of keeping it. Might change the dish back to 19.2 deg east, got some unlocked channels :D
