Is it not bad luck to take the decorations down too soon?

I thought that it was bad luck to keep them up after 12th night. Perhaps different thoughts about this in different parts of the country?world?

There is a second New Year (Russian / Chinese etc.) just around the corner, so in our house at least, some of the decorations remain for another week.

Or, I could be lazy
