Could someone who is using Nabilosat 0.10 and has more than 1 tuner please go to MENU>SERVICE SEARCHING>AUTO SCAN
It only gives me the option to "Scan tuner A", tuner b is not listed.
I am simply trying to replicate my old sky+ box at the min but cant recieve any services on tuner b.
Please help if u can. ive swapped the feeds and ive even swapped the tuner card itself and i still only get the option to scan tuner a

If you have both tuners set to the same sat, then there's no need for it to scan both tuners.

However, if you want a better way to do it, simply select manual scan then select entire satellite. This gives you full control of what you want to scan.

so how come i cant record 1 channel and watch another at the same time?

have you setup both tuners in tuner config ?

yes, ive set them both at config mode = simple, mode = single, sat = astra/eurobird 28.2e) send DiSqC =no
if im recording and i try to change channel i get "sid not found in pat" error

i see what you mean, if i set tuner b to another sat then i get the option to scan both.

SID not in PAT is usually shown because there's something wrong with that channel. It's not transmitting until evening time perhaps, or something like that.
If you had a tuner problem trying to record one and watch another, you'd expect to see the message 'No Free Tuner'. I'd suggest you have a channel setting problem here rather than a tuner config issue.

no its definately when im recording a channel, i even get the message when i turn to eg BBC1. if i go into the menu and cancel the recording i can then change channel without a problem. its really doing my head in.
ive swapped the feeds from the dish and tried them individually but it behaves in the same way no matter what i do,any more suggestions?

ok a bit more, if i do a manual scan of tuner A it finds 1149 services if I do a scan of tuner B it only finds 11 services, do you think this is relevant?

yes mate I do. The output from your LNB is dead, or you have a bad connection on that coax, or the tuner card is dead. Start swapping things round to test.

I already did that at the start but just to be sure I've been swapping things around again and this is what i have found.....

If I plug either tuner card on either feed from my dish into the 'Tuner B' slot I cannot find any services on a scan.

If I plug either tuner on either feed into 'Tuner A' position then a scan finds all the services.

This proves both cards work and both feeds works.
It seems to be the slot b on the DB motherboard that is at fault.

Its a brand new 7025 bought from the official DB seller in Camberley 2 weeks ago...do you think im right to send it back as faulty?

Yes you are, tuner B is obviously faulty, but I would first check that the inner cable core is long enough, whilst I know it is working on Tuner A, the required tolerence may different, assuming it is actually a satellite tuner in the Tuner B slot of course....have you checked?

yes because both tuner cards receive on either feed when in slot a but neither card recieves when plugged into slot b

Yep its seems pretty straight forward , the motherboard is faulty.
Camberly you say, so that would be SMS right ? Don't let him play you mate, he's a con man and his customer service is terrible. You are entitled to the full 2 year Dream Multimedia warranty and it should be replaced / repaired for free !
I have heard tales of him trying to charge for repairs... Be warned.

yes thats the place, thanks for the heads up. i dont live too far from camberley (west london) so i think ill have a drive over and look him in the eye!!! although i did phone and they said to pop down and they would replace it if it was faulty

Cool, I hope so mate..

Well i went to sms warned with your info but the guy happily change it without even testing it.
So now im home and i thought i would try a different image so i installed oozoon.
When i booted it dosnt have any menu on the green button which was how i downloaded and installed cccam previously.
Ive been looking into doing a telnet install (which i havnt done before) as i have downloaded enigma2-plugin-camd-cccam.2.1.1_2.3-r0_mipsel.ipk file but am really struggling to get the cam installed and running.

So i thought to myself ill go back to what i know and install nabilosat but when i hold down the the down button on my 7025 "boot" comes up but the ip address dosnt and it just hangs.

Can anyone help me where to go next. I feel like ive taken 2 steps forward and 3 back!! :(

Is it connected to your router ?
Is your router a DHCP server ?
Did it work before you took it back ?
Is it a brand new box ?
Can you see in your router's settings if the dreambox has been assigned an IP number by your router.

Turn off the mains on the rear switch, hold down the 'DOWN' button and switch on, keep it pressed. It should say STOP, now you can let go and it should then take an IP address from your router.

i worked out that when my usb stick was plugged in,internally, it wouldn't boot so i could flash an image (ie with the button held down) but it worked normally when booting the image..gonna flash back to nabilosat and report back.... (it was a brand new box, i saw him open it.) you really dont think much of him do you? but i did think he was a right smarmy b******d

Well I really dont know where to go next with my problem.

I have proved both tuner cards work
I have proved both feeds from the lnb work
I have exchanged my DM7025 for another
I have taken my box to a friends house and plugged into his dish where it performs exactly the same as it does at mine.

.......but im still getting this problem where i cant recieve on both tuners.

I read on another forum that someone else was getting a similar problem on a 7025 with nabilosat BH 0.10.
Could it be a problem with that image on this box?

In tuner config i have chosen single Astra 28.2e but when it scans its says (28.2e) 28.4e why is that?

Could it be any other setting i dont know about?
