My Satellite Setup
two dishes of 60cm each mostly for ku band KAON S660HD
windows 7 WITH SKYSTAR 2 TV
My Location
24° 15’ 8 “N , 55° 4’8 9” E
I HAVE SEEN RECEIVERS with two tuners one is connected to a sat giving the unscrambling code and the other one is used for getting the unscrambled channels . what is the funda behind this . there are some where the receiver is connected to the internet router and the unscrambling code is taken from the same

This is a self help forum and you can freely read all the fundamental information available to you, I have never heard of a tuner giving the unscrambling code but with the 2nd item you appear to be referring to a Linux stb which is card sharing of which there are a number of makes available the primary one being the Dreambox.

LET me explain it this type of receiver has 2 tuners . one tuner is connected to eutelsatW6 at 21.6E and the other tuner is connected to satellites like badr 26E nilesat 7 w or hotbird 13E and most of the packages of showtime and pehla gets opened. this is a very common thing in the middle east

So it is a twin tuner receiver what information are you trying convey to me or what information do you wish to know, or are you trying to advertise such a set top box?

well if you want to know what i had to convey or what i had to ask pls refer my first question. i wanted to know if anyone could explain to me how this unscrambling process is done. THIS IS NOT MEANT FOR AN ADVERTISEMENT.

Clealry no-one here is aware of any technique other than

a. Using a valid Subscription via a Card/CAM
b. Card Sharing via Internet
c. Patching (this being a dying art owing to increasingly secure Encryption)

So perhaps we can turn your question on its head, as your state of knowledge is ahead of ours, and ask you to make enquiries where you saw this device and then share the detailed information with us :)

If you really wish to learn about the outdated more obsolete techniques of viewing TV channels for free have a week or two reading this site

As mentioned beyond that you are obviously ahead of us in your knowledge

It's just another method of obtaining the DCW.

I've seen this somewhere too but when I tried to read up on it I could never get to the bottom of it.

Two receivers (not tuners) one pointed at one satellite and one at another and some sort of delay box joins the two together and manages to decrypt the signal. I'm sure it was something from times passed.
