Hello,

This has probably been asked before but I have done a search and whilst I can find similar questions, I can't find exactly the same and as someone with very little technical knowledge I can't understand the answers!

I have an existing Sky set up and now have a second dish that I want to use to get Italian channels. Can I connect the second dish to my Sky receiver (as well as keeping my existing Sky dish connected) and if so, in layman's terms how do I do it?

Thanks,
George

Welcome to satellites forum,

Ideally, it would be best to use a separate receiver for Italian channels.
The digibox doesn't have DiSEqC switching control and can only use symbol rates 22000 & 27500.

Although... if your channels have the above s/rates, you could use an A/B switch and add the Italian channels to 'add channels' menu (not ideal but would work).

SM :)

In layman's terms, Don't do it.:)

The Sky digibox will get miffed if you keep disconnecting from 28ºE all the time.

As already said, you are much better of with a second NON-Sky receiver.

Excellent, thanks both. I have a spare receiver so will use that.
