I live in a fringe area...currently renovating my home, and intending on getting a 3m dish to enable reception of bbc etc.
I realise that I can't avail of sky multiroom, but I would like to be able to watch bbc on one tv and sky on another.
So I thought about getting another satbox, an FTA one - I assume these will work in a fringe area (east of germany, west of ukraine), assuming they are of an appropriate quality. But then I thought how about not wasting money on a new sat receiver if I can get a bulit in receiver with a new DVD recorder which I have been waiting to buy.
I was thinking that if I attached two cables from the dish to the sky+ (as with the current set-up), and then another two to a new dvd recorder (e.g. there's a sony with built in receiver), I could achieve this. Or would I need a second sat box - before the dvd recorder/receiver ?
Any thoughts on this ?
