That should be fine for a static TD88, have used that style on a few.

What and use 10mm rawl bolts you think?

Yes, or as I now use a lot, 10mm plastic anchors _http://www.hilti.com/holcom/page/module/product/prca_productdetail.jsf?lang=en&nodeId=-11690&selProdOid=10898 absolutely rock solid in almost any materials, used with long coach bolts.

Excellent , thanks for your help :-righton

(Couldnt believe how big that 88cm is, more like 95cm top to bottom!!!)

If you check "my 1st set up" in pictures etc you will see my dish is fitted using a large letter U bracket. It seems really solid. I was wondering whether it will be okay for a td88 (approx 5kgs). Not sure if anybody has any experience of using them on larger dishes. (hoping timo reads this!!!!) Check the 1st pic.

Yep, I got a similar bracket for a TD88. It's a pretty solid mount but I wouldn't put anything bigger on it or a motor.

The official way to measure an offset dish is the shorter dimensions, which on most offset dishes (apart from Sky) is from side to side.

Yes , i wondered about that. Still looks big, cant wait to get it set up.
