I have Kubuntu 8.10 with KDE4 on my laptop and unfortunately, it doesn't run that well, I don't know if it's my laptop or the software, but it ain't working right... :(
 
Sorry to hear that mate, this version is supposed to be very stable.

Did You install it from start or are You using a win in the bottom ?

It's installed independently of Windows, I like the idea of running it within Windows, but I only have 512MB on my laptop!!! :(

But saying that,I have Kubuntu, which is a modified version of Ubuntu, and I prefer the former, but it might be sorted out with some updates, or with me scrapping this laptop in favour of a newer one... :D
