Hi whilst looking to see whats on intelsat 27.5w
on lyngsat i found to my suprise on tp 11495v bbc channels,
as i cant pick up 27.5w in uk on 1 mtr dish
can anyone confirm that this is available ?
i spend 10 weeks in southern spain each year and this bird can be received on 80 to 1 mtr dish

They have been there years - they feed the transmitter network.

Not possible to view them apart from the VERY rare times they run fta.

Yes see here.......
lyngsat-maps.com/maps/intel907_spot1.html

50-60cm will work!

im amazed! a reply within 6 minutes!
thanks
as you probably know thousands of expats want uk tv in Spain
they either have a monster dish1.8 /2.4mtr or use one of the rebroadcasters
these can vary from average to diabolical
,one of the average ones scansat have encrypted their chans recently so no more free bbc1 ,
so the feeds on 27.5w do you think a valid sky card will open them?

Excellent - he can watch black screens on the 60 cm dish :-rofl2

Good grief no - 27.5W uses a different encryption system.

Forget it - unless they go fta (maybe once a year for a couple of days) you cant watch them so dont get your hopes up.

No chance of a valid BSkyB Card opening them.

All you will get is occasional FTA Feeds stuff and you'll never know what or when.

If what you want to do were possible on a worthwhile level, it would be

a. All over the Interweb thingy

b. Stopped

Yup - wasnt 27.5W used for that illegal BBC relay system a couple of years ago. It got shut down in no time flat once word got out.

You want to be careful tanning your swinging bits they may fall off:-Nooo

hello, the illegal feed was on another sat.i still have the box.just good for free view.
tv 5 comes in like a bell with a 2 meter dish on 1N.
The bbc feeds can not be opened with any sky system on the planet.
they use a BISS system of encryption, and have a sr of 44100.
not many receivers that will go beyond 30000 sr.
the biss is like the british forces use for bfbs system
unless you know sone one that works for the bbc and has a special receiver and card than can give you and activate the card.
it is not possible to receive

How long did it last? I remember reading about it but never thought it would actually start broadcasting.

hello, that rebroadcasting service lasted several months.
about 3 or 4 in all.
if you look at the arcives here somewhere about bbc receivable with a 60 cm dish it should show up.
it was not good with a 90 cm here and i went with a 1.20 cm and it worked very well.
it had a card and all .

Interesting, thanks. Impressive amount of effort/cost on something that didn't last long.

Cant agree with this - most of the newer Receivers on the Market do SR 44.100 ( for instance Clark Tech ) and the Biss Keys can be found meanwhile on several Key sides in the net...

Regards Montafon Guy!

ok thanks
so who is receiving this system using the biss and 44100 sr??
this is on 27.5 west?

Hmmm im going to trawl the net to see if i can find out more about biss keys,to open 27.5w,or at least find out if these signals are intended for british servicemen working away from home,

dont waste your time, any keys online will be years old and these are to feed the terrestrial transmitters for analogue and freeview, not for servicemen, they get BFBS on a different bird

thanks smoggy
i have an old strong srt 4375 dual analogue and digital reciever, just sat on a shelf
would the analogue tuner pick anything up
