Thanks for headsup @Fisty McB . Noise floor of those extra wide data transponders is gonna be a problem for those on the edge of the footprint.
Worth noting that if interference from the Mid-Mediterranean is occurring in a particular place, a larger dish is unlikely to help in such a situation, as not only will a larger dish pick up more of the wanted North Sea beam signal, it will also pick up more of the unwanted Mid-Mediterranean beam signal, and as such the signal-to-noise ration will remain approximately the same.
The only hope then is that the pest signal eventually goes away.
We seen this nearly two years ago when Russian T2-MI services appeared on 14W - two of those signals were interfered with by data carriers on Telstar 12 Vantage at 15W (though were presumably okay in the parts of occupied Ukraine they switched TX feeds to - all academic now as the Russian signals are gone).
