Hi, I have installed a motorised system for a client. TM-5402 receiver with Technomate Diseqc motor and an 85cm dish. Great reception of all satellites from 0.8W to 33E, aligned with my Promax Ranger Neo analyser.
The client needs to receive the European Central Bank press conference, which runs every 6 weeks or so. This used to be broadcast on 9E and was fine, but since moving to 7E they have not been able to receive it. The broadcast only starts 30 mins before the actual conference. The last conference was broadcast on 11135 H (TP B5). Prior to the start, I placed the dish on a static mount and aligned perfectly for 7E. I could not receive this TP on my analyser. I can see the peak on the spectrum, but there is not enough carrier to noise to receiver (it came through for 2-3 seconds at one point).
I know the answer, bigger dish, even though Eutelsat state in the UK max dish size required for the Europe A beam is 65cm.
My questions are: has anybody received this feed and what dish size is required (London)? And, are there any other regular feeds for nearby transponders I can use for testing, at the moment I have 90 minutes every 6 weeks!
I’d really appreciate any advice, thanks in advance!
