I recently put up a Triax 110 dish and want to get it lined up.

I have a loan of a Unaohm EP314 but I don't know how to work it.

Please can someone tell me which buttons to push?

Do I set the tuner to the right frequency and then nudge the dish?

What are the frequencies for 28e, 19.2E, 13E and 9E ?

Thanks in advance!

As far as I know the EP314 hasn't got satellite recognition, you have to work with the spectrum trace.

Are there any frequencies already preset?

Which satellite are you trying to point at, or are you going to move it around to several?

I have four lnb's.

The EP314 covers a spectrum frequency range up to SAT 900 to 2150 Mhz.

I'd like to get Astra to get me started...

OK, I can probably take a picture of the Astra spectrum for you, that is one of the easy ones, as it still has analogue channels which show as long thin spikes and the meter will show the analogue channel picture.

Spectrum screen for Astra 19.2, 13v no 22Khz and two channel screens.

The spectrum from your location should be fairly similar, just move the cursor to one of the tall spikes when you find the satellite and press the TV button to verify that it is Astra 19.2, but it is the only one with that volume of analogue channels, so should be easy to find.:)

Brilliant - that looks exactly like the system I have. Thank you.

So I set the frequency to 1653.0 etc and move the dish until I get it lined up?

It's a shame it's dark...

What frequency should I use for 28, 13 and 9E?

Thanks again!

Doesn't really matter too much for Astra 28.2 or 9E, for Hotbird use 1063 18v, that should give you a sharp spike for Duna analogue TV.

My meter is the EP313 and uses the intermediate frequency rather than unconverted satellite frequency,m not sure whether the EP314 uses the same.

If I get some time in the morning, I'll photograph the traces for the other satellites.:)

I think I have an lnb lined up with 19.2.

After double pushing the lnb button on the ep314 I get a signal appearing on the screen.

How do I scroll the "just move the cursor to one of the tall spikes " ?

And once I've done that how do I get a TV channel?

I assume that identifying one of the channels will identify the satellite?

Thanks.

You change the mode to Frequency and move the cursor using the up and down button. Then once on a tall spike, press (I think) the top button which should be adjacent to the TV sign.

But if it has lots of tall spikes like my picture, then it is Astra 19.2.:)

I have got 19.2 - Yay!

I can get Sky News in WinTV7 and Power Cinema, but not DVB Viewer. Why would that be?

I can't get Astra HD demo - I will try and pick up 28.2 on a different LNB to see if I can get BBC HD.
