Hi,

Firstly, thanks to Mickha. Is it wasn't for your helpful information posted on here over the past year, I probably would have struggled to get to grips with how to use this CAM.

Anyway, I was wondering if you could help me understand a few things around the Underworld/data/key files.

Does the underworld file only open things like C+? and then you have the key files to open things like Digitalb/Private spice etc? And what about the data file? I see updated version of that appear on the web, but I have no idea what it does.

Apologies, I'm sure all these questions have been asked a zillion times before.

p.s. is there a list of all currently open packages for the Diablo?
 
The Data bin files contain the hidden/encrypted keys for packages that aren't available on general emulation, which means not everyone can view.
These currently include Canal Digital and the mature content channels.
The keys bin files contain keys that are available to everyone, like for Digi TV, so you can amend/update the keys bin file yourself.
The updated data bin file is two fold.
1. Usually the underworld file contains the latest data bin file but sometimes it's easier for the team to release an updated data bin file instead of a new Underworld file.
2. As in this case the new data bin file merely contains a part missing in the data bin file contained in Underworld 163, this is S2_NL.

DigitAlb is down at the moment and we might not get it back, the main packages currently available are Canal Digital and Digi TV 1W, and the mature content channels, S1, S2, S3 and S5, on 13E, and the s_x channels on 9E.
 
help needed. Diablo cam(2.2) formats and updates with(cas2) stealth but I cannot update the key.bin I get a failure message. I have tried to delete the keys.bin without success. It seems to crash and I have to ctrl alt del to end it.
 
Which version of the Cas software are you running?
There is a known problem with a Cas 2 and some of the Cas Interface Software.
You could try an earlier version of the software, like 7.9, but you will have to turn the date back on your computer, just change the year from 2009 to 2007.
Alternatively you can manually update some keys using the Daiblo Cam menu, and your receiver.
Go into your receivers Cam menu and enter the Diablo Cam.
Now enter the following sub menus, I will use Digi TV as an example>
Stealth xxx
Keys
List keys Edit
Nagravision 2
Digi TV
Key 86 (Key 00)
Enter the key and select the method you wish to use to update the keys, either Hexadecimal or Decimal.
I find Decimal to be quicker.
Once finished exit the menu and Digi TV should open.
 
Hi Mickha, thanks for the quick reply, software version is the latest cas studio 8.6c
I will try manually updating later, when at home.
 
Also try using an earlier version of the Cas software, first 8.6b and if that fails 7.9c.
 
Digitv down this morning..
...tried a manual load of a new set of keys onto the box,
as it tends to work better with the patch.
.....in a rush, didn't work.
Clearly not for the 00 line.
Will have to try later......
 
Digi TV changed their keys yesterday, you now need the new 01 key, key 96 in the Diablo.
