Anyone ever come across repairing them the one i have keeps loosing memory after a month Anyone best place to get it repaired from or is it not worth it :)
 
The cells for these were very expensive as they were quite large. I would look into replacing this with two AAA long life batteries in series, with a suitable holder

There was also a modification to the main board, by the cutting of a track near the perimeter, to ensure the battery did not go flat prematurely.

I will do some checking

Ok if you could tell me whats needs replacing both fuses in side are ok :)

I need a picture of the underneath to give you an idea of which track to cut, the cell however is the round silver thing (with yellow plastic cover) that stands off about 8mm from the board on two contacts

I have sent the box away to a m8 to have a look so once it comes back i will post the pic to you in the mean time if you do come across any info i would gratefull

P.S i have been offered a Pace Mss1000ip do you know the best price i can offer for one if my uniden does not work

They go for about £20 on eBay
