I'm after a new C120 lnb to replace my water damaged invacom and I've got an old echostar lnb & irte polorisor to hand. Is it better to use these two items together or bin them for another universal unit. As Harry Hill would say, which one is better ?
Cheers All.

Your old LNB will be a little deaf compared to modern universals, particularly if you have a polariser twisting the signals. An Invacom or Inverto C120 low noise LNB would be a good replacement.

that's what I suspected. The old lnb is an echostar 0.9 jobbie but with the polorisor I could tune in any signal. whereas with the new universal type you can't adjust signals but it was a 0.3db.

Yes, when I had my SMW LNB and Ferotor on the dish, a little skew applied to weak signals corrected misalignment issues particularly at the arc extremes.
