Today I've got some answers from the US :

I have something very similar stashed away somewhere. The dish ring slips onto the tube. And if I remember right, you rotate the ring on the tube to achieve different declination settings, or something strange like that.

A second answer with pictures :

I also have a similar mount that came with a Echospere 7-1/2' solid reflector. The one I have is an ECHO EHM-100.

Now it has a name EchoHorizonMount

This week I started with the EchoHorizonMount Usals mod .
First made a 22 slotted pulswheel for the optical sensor to generate approx 38 pulses / degree AZ
This EHM-100 does not have end-switches since it is supplied with a slip clutch and a blocking system .
Then took the gear apart to made a longer groove since with the original length it made a arc of only 130º AZ .
Machined it to a arc of 175º , at the upper side of that gearwheel removed a listel and machined a curved line for the zero switch and some space for that mico-switch .
Connect it to a SG2100 diseq motor circuitbaord and a relais interface , powered by 30 volts .
Already tested it and its working fine , the movement is correct with Usals according to the LAT / LON .
Just have to find a proper casing for the SG2100 circuitboard and the contactor interface .reach increasing EHM.jpg reach restriction.jpg slotted wheel.jpg zero switch mod.jpg testbench.jpg

Today I tested this rotor attached to my 120 offset Echostar on my mobile pole in the backyard .
The declination adjuster is not the final one , just for developping I made this simple one .
That dish is prepaired by me for C-band , made a special adjustable scalaring / lnb holder .
The base plate is fixed to the feedarms and the scalaring and lnb can be adjusted independent by a small handwheel .
Took the mechanics out of the SG2100 to get room for the relais interface and connection board .
Made a separate 30 V = power supply .
To get this set-up to the arc I made a adapter ring to put a KU lnb in the C-lnb holder .
With minor adjustments I found the correct arc from 42º E till 30º W at that moment .
Than changed the Ku lnb for the X-1 C lnb and made a test at 5º W to find the proper adjustments for the scalaring and lnb .
On this cloudy evening got TP 4031 with 7.8 dB , after that made a scan at 20º E , found 42 channels
Just scanned 49º E , just 2 channels , because of trees my last position in East .
