Interesting but how come they still include composite av connections on things these days and even 2 scart sockets is more than needed.

Hdmi and component output should be enough and would save money on the manufacture.

Is rs232 ports even needed these days ?

Looking forward to the spec when it materialises..
If its a sensitive as the F15 ...and has those elusive features missing from earlier DrHD boxes ..
I will be dipping in the piggy bank ...again.
Just hope they have taked opinion into account.

In USA SCART is not used, it's a european connector, so they need composite if the don't have any digital input.

A box as sensitive as the F15 with options for DVB-T2/DVB-S2 and DVB-C plus an analogue input would be the ultimate box for me.

Yes, I can't wait for this to come out - will be very interesting to see what will be on it. Hope it will be the Vu+ Uno type upgrade from Vu+ Solo...

Hearing the grumbles about the lack of firmware updates for the F15........ and then seeing the possibility of a Linux version in addition to an embedded real-time operating system F22 version, is for me heartwarming.

A couple of hundred amateur developers (enthusiasts) tweaking "Linux" will always get better results over a handful of salaried developers working with a budget and corporate time restraints.

Now I am VERY CONFUSED!!!!

I have been digging around the dr.hd website and found the following product list with specifications and another pdf sales brochure.

_http://dr-hd.com/products/Grand.html (with detailed specifications)

Its labeled as either GRAND or EQUINOX but it looks identical to the F22 pdf sales brochure.

Now my head is hurting

I am very surprised and a little disappointed they have restricted this 3 tuner set top box to only 10,000 channels ..
I can easily fill those slots on the F15 ..and still not get all available channels stored ..
Add DVBT/T2 ..and the user will be even more short of storage space.
A definate short sightedness on their part ...but then ..this box is aimed more at the TV Watcher ..than the enthusiast ..so perhaps they expect the owner to be more selective.

If it is going to be Linux based I thought that it was possible to store as many channels as you want?

I was really taking my supposition from the Linux based VU+ which AFIK has an unlimited channel capacity (though it may baulk when you go over 2 billion give or take a few hundred).

Not sure what 'surprise' there might be but I'm not really in the market for another receiver, especially one with more than one tuner. The F15 does me quite nicely thank you........unless of course the 'Grand' has an even more sensitive tuner.
