Update of system to digital

I have a SCT Monterey 40 reciver with out of date software,a few extras ..tone inserter but only able to get analogue. It would cost £200 plus to add new software plus to buy a stand-a-lone digital reciver to upgrade this system..or go out and get a Echostar AD3000ip and do away with the old system. The dish 1.2m,LNB and motor are ok...any views on this Thanks

Although I am not familiar with the Echostar personally, I have seen on other boards that there have been a few problems with the software on early models. As an alternative you may wish to consider one of the Strong machines, perhaps the 4375. Reviews of this one look OK; fewer channels than the Echostar but may be cheaper.
