Prepare for the newbie post .. oh and excuse the long one
OK.. about 18 months ago I got the bug and bought a system which included GbSat 2CI60, HH Motor and 80cm Disk. I have seen a few errr... complaints about H*s*t but i have to say they were the best help at the time for so I bought from them. Anyway I did manage to get it all set up which surprised me and was just starting to go down the card programming route but alas work took over and I have only now found the time to start playing again.
So basically the whole setup has sat here all this time like a doorstop
Anyway, my main question is, has anyone had any joy updating the software / Channels on one of these Gbsat thingies?
I am assuming a lot has changed in the time its been sitting here so I figure it is best to update it.
Other Questions:
Is this the only way to update the channels or are there any other ways?
I guess it can (and probably is) usually done manually but I have yet to get my head around doing that bit.
Am I wasting my time with the GbSat? It seems ok but as for support/update I am not too sure?
I'll leave at that for now... I'm sure I'll have more questions for you lot later
and once again for the long post.
