updating keys using dream control centre

Hi friends
I am new to the dreambox, I have reached the stage where I can send a softcam and keys to my dreambox (600) through DCC and then when I exit and restart the dreambox the keys including the directory created are no longer there. Can someone help me please.

Have you run out of space on the Dreambox? How space is left in /var?

I re-installed a new image and the problem disappeared.
