Updating MR on IBM laptop

Hi

Has anyone ever tryed updating a MR using a IBM ThinkPad?
I'm trying right now and I can't get it to work!
I've tryed it on a IBM ThinkPad 600E and a IBM ThinkPad R40. WinXP dose not find the MR when i insert it in the PCMCIA-slot.

Here is the data on my brand new MR:

Matrix Reloaded CAM
UCAS v3.0
Firmware v. 1.7.12.2.1

I got these info from my Nokia Mediamaster 9902S. When I insert the MR into it seems to work or at least I can read the info from the MR. It will not accept my card but from what I read on matrixcam.com it is because the MR needs to be updated with the Dreamloader and thats what I'm trying to do.

I've read the instructions in this forum but I can not change any settings for the PCMCIA or PCI in my bios.

Please help me out on this one!
 
I have successfully done it it on a R30 and R40. It should detect it right away. Does it show up in the corner tray icon for PCMCIA devices?

Nope, absolutely nothing happens when the MR is inserted into the PCMCIA-slot. Not even some activity on the harddrive that could indicate windows activity (searching for drivers or something).

Where you (jagost02) also running Windows XP Pro SP1 on the R30 and R40?

I have the same problem on my Dell Inspiron and Compaq TC1000 Tablet. Wont recongise the MR when inserted, and have no options in bios to change PCMCIA values

Amy help woulb be great
 
i'm in the same situation of strifer

for jagost02: are u using Win XP, W2k or what OS on R40 ?
cah u explain what have u done ?

Have u installed some driver ?

I have almost the same problem as below and my Thinkpad 1400 does not recognise the Matrix Cam when I insert in the PCMCIA slot. I use Windows2000 prof
