Hi everyone,
I am planning on changing my satellite setup.
I currently have a 1m motorised Gibertini dish
http://www.satellites.co.uk/forums/...lations/151704-my-motorised-1m-gibertini.html
It has been in operation for the last 2 years but unfortunately my Superjack Diseqc motor has developed an electrical fault and is no longer of use.The gears in the motor itself were in perfect condition.
I did have issues with the motor turning Westwards on the 50mm pole in an Easterly wind due to poorly designed brackets on the Superjack, which meant frequent software realignments and a complete physical realign every 8 months.

I'm considering what options I have for a new system.
I can
a)Buy a new motor ,a Clarke Tech HH390 ,which is highly recommended here and has beefier brackets and hope this solves my movement problems.
Cost ~65 euro
b)Get a multi lnb holder for the Gibertini dish and have 23.5e,19e,16e,13e and 7e on it .I have a 60cm dish fixed at 28e.
Cost ~60 euro
c)Sell my Gib to a friend (who is looking for one ) and buy a T90,for 28e to 5w.
Cost ~120 euro

I liked the Motorised dish but I like to channel zap so the waiting time was a bit of a pain.:)
I rarely watch anything past 28e or 1w to be honest.
I'd have no waiting time on a T90 or the multi lnb setup and have less realignment issues plus it would be more user friendly to my family .
My worry about the T90 is that I have read they are cheaply constructed and prone to rust .I wouild be getting a white dish to match my house so I do not fancy rust :)
They also look quite heavy 14kg or so,although the Gib is ~12.5kg .
I would have to replace my 50mm pole with a 60mm pole ,there is room on the T brackets to do that but have I enough offset from the wall ? The brackets are 24 inch .
Alternatively I could remove the T brackets and use the wall mount specifically designed for the T90 and mount it on the southerly wall a bit lower but I'm not sure the missus would be too happy with more drilling

Finally the T90 is supposed to be the equivalent of a 90cm dish but I do not think that is the case according to reviews I've read.
Its more like an 80cm,some people even say a 70cm ,which might be an issue on some weaker satellites for me.

So if anyone has any feedback or ideas please post them here ,I'd be very greatful
Thanks
