Upgrading Z-cas to U-cas via Cas 3

Hello all, I´m from Portugal, I have a matrix reborn and Cas3.

I want to now how can I pass Reborn Z-cas to U-cas, via cas3.

With the Cas3 you can just write the .bin file to your reborn, and that'll include whatever is part of that firmware (be it Z-cas or U-cas).

I've only come across this issue really when updateing using smart cards.

Let us put the question in other way. How can someone load a .upd file in the reborn cam?

I put the same question... and have another:
-What appears on your Cas studio board when you connect a Matrix Reborn? Is it This?:

CAM Connected
Xilinx XC9536XL CPLD Version 4 detected
Manufacturer ID: 0xC2
Device ID: 0x0049
Flash: MACRONIX MX29LV160BTC


I got this second hand Matrix Reborn, and it doesn't work on my Kaon 570... so I'm starting to think that the xilinx is gone, and the old owner put the Matrix Reloaded Xilinx on it!
Can this be??

I'm trying to do the zcas to ucas update too... if this doesn't work with the Cas 3, how should it be done the right way?? What do I need?

Sorry for all the questions, but somehow it's more practical then writing them one at a time...:o

same here...i only have pcmcia slot in my laptop, but from my understanding that should be enougth to go from zcas to ucas yeah? i always get the error "device not started, try reinserting the cam"...anyone know the wisdom ways of doing this right?
 
hi everybody

you can use file.upd by calnzer or by laptop to your matrix cam
and file.bin only by cas interface

The fatty you have a problem in installing driver of your cam on ur system
try to reinstall it
