Advice Needed Uphill Hinge fabrication

Hi as the title says, I need to make the above, any drawings would be appreciated, I can work out the angle needed, but I don't know how the hinge works, that's what i really need, once I see something I can take it from there.

If you have a piece of pipe just cut through it at an angle, the more angle the more lift, then put a pin through the pipe, like this or am I misunderstanding the type of hinge you are talking about. ?

Thank you Ray, yes that's helpful, its not a severe rise but its enough to warrant making some, I was going to dig right down to avoid this but skip prices are ridicules, so only one skip was used,
