Hi all,

Hoping someone can help me get to the bottom of this bizarre mystery. Just got a TBS-5925 and using EBSPro. I've set up USALS and got the dish moving... Lon and Lat have both been set correctly. However, when I tell it to go to 24.5W it goes to 15W. The immediate thought would be the mount is misaligned. However, USALS functions perfectly with the Dreambox. Dreambox sends it 24.5W it goes to 24.5W.

This is where it gets weird. Using EBSPro, if I send the dish to 30W... It goes to 30W. Send it to 15W it goes to 15W. Send it to 0.8W it goes to 0.8W. Send it 7W it goes to 7W. Send it 13E it goes to 13E. Send it 24.6W it goes to 24.6W (although slightly weaker signal than if it was on 24.5W). Send it to 24.5W it goes to 15W!

It really is bizarre and driving me insane. It's an Alsat Dark Motor. The fancy one with the LCD display if that's any help.

This is just using the positioner console and 'go to angular position' under tools, rather than profiles.

That's weird... Can you clear all the stored DiSEqC positions in the motor if there are any? Also, have you tried different software (CrazyCat etc.)? Could be a bug in EBS.

Hi,

Can you send me to support (at) ebspro.net a screenshot of the Options -> Diseqc & USALS window?
I want to check if I can reproduce the issue here.

Thank you.

It sounds like the Dark motor and Dreambox have a similar buggy DiSEqC configuration, and only work together.
Could you reconfigure the TBS-5925 and EBSpro with a completely new satellite at the problem position ?

Will email you shortly. As I work around I'm having to send it to 24.4W and nudge it West slightly. Did you want the log to?

Just been using the positioner built into TBS Data Services which came with the TBS-5925 and that is positioning normally. Send it to 24.5W it goes there like the Dreambox. Therefore, I think I can conclude the issue lies with EBSPro.

No secret at all. I am working on a fix for the USALS problem with him. ;)
¿Any comments or progress with this thread and the apparent EBSpro possible bug?
¿Anyone else good/bad events using the EBSpro positioner with either USALS or DiSEqC 1.2?

Thanks.

Use the latest release (13.2.0.1). It should have the USALS bug fixed.
Regards.

Thanks Cjcr_ for the reply and am using the prog release version as above. Have never used the positioner part of EBSpro but started yesterday and up until now no problems thanks, at the moment using Stab HH120 and DiSEqC 1.2 as I prefer the manual side of things!

Hope the original poster has his problem solved....am sure he will advise.

Good work and best wishes Cjcr_. respect-048.gif
