usb slots avi playback

Was wondering if anybody has managed to play a divx movie off a pendrive placed in one of the usb slots alls i get is this message

gstream plugin avi demuxer not available.
 
DM800 won't play .avi files as far as I am aware, you can stream them to it though using VLC.
