Used to get Astra2 Channels, now I don't

I moved into a new apartment with satellite. I was a bit stupid, I admit, and deleted the lists. I rescanned for channels and now it doesn't find Astra2 channels. Before the installation of channels finishes, it tells me the channel lists are full. I get mostly Astra 1 channels and some Hotbird. I know things are set up correctly outside because BBC channels used to be there, they just aren't anymore. I can't seem to search through channels, manually add them etc. The Aston Simba 202, seems to really suck.

If anyone knows how I can add these manually with this receiver, I'd really appreciate the help.

You may need to revert to factory settings and start from scratch, as deleted channels still take up memory.

The channel memory on those is quite small.
 
I found out how to manually enter the PIDs, however.. I know there are other english speaking channels that are free to air that arent listed on lyngsat.com .. is there a more definitive list with PID numbers?
 
Try also to see if your receiver can search only for tv channels (ie ignore radio channels).
You could easily add any radio channels you like later.

The receiver only has memory for 3000 channels, so by the time you've scanned in Astra 1 and Hotbird, there is little or no space left.

When you say you've moved to a new apartment, are you sure thay have a dish pointed at Astra 28.2 East?
 
In the television list, click left to the Bouquet list and then click Add on the remote. Here you can search the bouquet of your choice without having to enter pids.

You can of course delete bouquets or channels, but it's a while since I did this, can't remember if it actually removes them from the database - I had the same problem as you owing to its limited channels.

How are you getting both the Astra1 channels and Hotbird ones?

Is the dish motorised, using a monoblock, or multi LNBs, or what?

As rolfw has said, somehow you need to have a feed from 28.2E.

If, as the OP says, the setup has been working OK, the problem will be that the Simba will shut up shop before it completes a full scan of Astra 19E, Hotbird and Astra 28E, especially if any data remains in the database ( there's no facility for complete factory reset).

I agree though that it would be helpful to confirm what the dish setup is.
