using omnikey in newcs/cccam on a debian server

hi i currently have my s*y uk card connected to my debian server through a smargo, from what ive read though the omnikey gives far better ecm times the only downfall been i would have to use a combination of newcs and cccam. I wanted to know exactly how this works as in will i give out clines or nlines to my peers?
 
Newcs is a card server, therefore you can connect to it via your CCcam using an N line (hop 1) you can then give out clines to connect to your CCcam as normal but all your clients will see your card at hop 2.
It is not advisable to give out N lines to people you dont know as there is no control over the share levels ie reshare ect.
 
Guys don't forget one very important point here. When hosted in NewCS, CCcam will not update the cards entitlements !

You must have one client connected using MGCamd to update the card. Stick to CCcam mate, the gain is not worth the effort.

Got to agree, I did have Omnikey running by NewCS, serving to CCcam with 1 Client on MGCamd, good fun getting it all working, but now I have my Smargo life seems a lot simpler just running CCcam.

Got to agree that ecms do appear a little quicker using Omnikey, but very little gain for a lot of faffing about.

But i read that you can have more people viewing your card if you use an omnikey?

Ok so i could set up my debian server with a combination of both newcs & cccam. Newcs will be the server, i gave myself an nline and put it in cccam.cfg and then i gave out clines to my peers. Is my understanding correct?
 
yes it is, but people don't like hop2 cards,they just don't trust it !

How many people do you want on your card ? CCcam using the internal or a smargo will handle 7 or 8 actual viewers with no problem normally. Any more than that I don't believe any reader will service the card as you'll be making a request more than once per second. If you want to run high numbers then you need to be looking at NewCS and CSP to handle higher throughput.

Newcs to CSP, then you will be facing the reshare issue again, i am not sure if you can control reshare using CSP, you can ofcourse have an idea from csp info that someone is resharing, but you can not control it!
I was thinking of giving CCcam CSP N line, to control client reshare, but i am not sure if CC will handle more F: line with single N line from CSP,
i thought about it, just do not have time these days to try it, but will report the findings....

i was planning on 25-30! I currently have a debian server with smargo but was thinking of omni key cos i read that you would need it for that many peers drawing ecms! I currently have 16 peers drawing ecms and the server is stable and peers are reporting back that its not freezing however i dont fancy going above that atm cos the ecms are reaching 500ms at times
