I live in a 5-storey building and each storey has 3 LED lamps that light up when someone presses the wall light switch.
All 15 LED lamps will light up and switch off after about 30 seconds.
I have changed all the lamps to LED about a year ago and I think we have cut down on the electricity consumption appreciably.
I am thinking now of using motion sensor LED lamps instead so that only one storey lights up, because usually people use the lift and they don't need all the lights on all over the building.
This means we must bypass the automatic thermal switch timer so that the LED lamps can switch on when they detect motion.
I think they work only during the night which can be problematic during winter, as people need light to see their way better. I know that I do.
I don't think the saving on electricity bill would be that much to be honest, and I will need to go into a rough estimate about the savings each month.
