why cant you move your var to the HDD on Gemini 4

this is a real inconvienience, when using auto Updaters, they error because there isnt enough room.

I put mine on a USB flash Drive, but another way around it is to make it multiboot and put the working image on USB, then you have loads of space. :)
 
think i need to buy a USB stick....

i could multiboot to HDD, but i dont like the fact its spinning up all the time.... causing wear and heat!!
 
They are so ridiculously cheap now, would be a shame not to. :)
 
Is there only certain brands or models that work or do any work OK and how big? i see 512mb ones for about 6.99, but is that big enough?
 
I'm running a no name 1GBstick at the moment, I have yet to try one which hasn't worked, have a look at 7dayshop.co.uk, they have 1GB for £4.39, 2GB for £7.49.
