Advice Needed VBOX - Enigma2 and finding TPs which arent on your channel list ???

how do you go about finding TPs which arent on a channel list in E2

i know how to add a satellite to satellites.xml - which would then allow a blind scan of that particular added sat - but how do you do this without a target TP - how do you know how far to move your dish using VBOX - lets say after 53e - how many clicks to get to 60e - (as an example) - although, generally how do you do it?

i may be able to pick up more sats that are on my channel list, but unsure how to seek a LIVE and valid TP on the xtreme easts....
 
Make a note of how many clicks there are between two known positions and work out how many clicks per degree there are.

I don't know about E2 but you could always use that meter you have.

(i'd rather not go on the roof, and connect meter) :)
i must say, i dont think my ARC has ever been so spot on, getting 17.5db on 30w, and 16.5 on 45e

Connect the meter at the receiver end, and use the buttons on the V-Box (or its remote if have one) to move the dish.

You have an obvious target in 54.9W, from 53E send the dish 22 clicks further East and do a blind scan. You should be sucking juice from the Northern beam of 54.9E if your v-box operates at around 11 to 12 clicks per degree.
