Vertical Channel problems

My Satellite Setup
85cm transparent dish
85cm Penta Dish (motored)
Black Ultra LNB
VU+Solo
VU+Duo
technomate 9100 linux
Quali-TV (4:2:2)
Eaglebox
UK nds card
My Location
Tyne and Wear
Using: 85cm penta, smart titamium 0.2 (few year old), eagle box.

All of a sudden I have a problem on vertical channels. Now and again there will be no signal at all, then a few minutes later the channels will appear with a booming signal. This happens on powerful satellites too. Horzontal channels are no problem.

Would I be right in saying this could well be my LNB ?

Well, you could check out what happens with one of your other receivers as it could also be a receiver fault. Also check your connections of course.
 
definatly my LNB. Tried another one and no problems.

Looks like I am going to buy another smart titanium

Good choice - I've a single output and a twin output Smart Titanium. Nice all round performer.

yes....cheapest as well....0.1db smart tit for under 10 uk pounds
 
I have this problem with TV1000
Works sometimes and then, suddenly, it´s gone.

Changed LNB No joy, tested with a new decoder same story (after a while so You noticed it - it happens not all the time). So I checked the cable, the switch and took a trip up to the dish to re-install it again.

Still having that strange problem....
