Thought I would create a specific thread for these, that have been discussed in various other threads so far (27.5°W and 30°W).

I've had some success over the last couple of days, since receiving a NooElec NESDR SMArt XTR RTL-SDR stick. This device has an E4000 tuner which reaches up to 2300MHz (i.e. enough for the high output of a universal LNB ) unlike the regular RTL-SDRs with an R820T chip that only goes up to 1766MHz.

Using this in combination with an Octagon PLL LNB (kindly supplied by @SimonE ), I've managed to lock and decode a couple of narrow signals off Eutelsat 8WB at 8°W using the AMSat demod software -

12622.2V SR 255 FEC 1/2 (DVB-S): Radio Maria Italia (MP2 160k)

12621.76V SR 144 FEC 2/3 (DVB-S) - Tendance Ouest (AAC 128k)

There's another around 12622.9V with SR ~200, but I've not been able to lock it successfully. It could be DVB-S2 GSE.

I find the same transponders with very small SR with a TBS6983 card, an Inverto black Ultra LNB
and the IQMonitor program

I got more or less the same result with my Fracarro UX-TW (PLL) and a TBS 6903 (1,80 Laminas)

Bye,

12621,75 Is Radio Maria as previously reported.
12621.32 should be, if my rusty french doesn't trick me, "Tendance Ouest" .

Now i'm going back to work:(

To be honest i can lock many of the radios (not all) using EBS Pro:

The frequencies are (all R and with SR=256 Ks):
3788.70
3789.50
3789.90
3790.30
3790.70
3791.10
3791.50
3791.90

A test on 3° East to get the nearby small sr .
All six frequencies with radio stations are found without problems (only without name).

On Eutelsat 21B @ 21,5 West i found:

11603.73 H 185 5/6 (S2) -> Luxe Radio
11603.96 H 180 5/6 (S2) -> SNRT- Radio Dakhla
11604.18 H 175 5/6 (S2) -> SNRT - Radio Lajoune
11604.40 H 180 5/6 (S2) -> SNRT - Radio OJD

There's at least a couple more but i can't lock'em at the moment.

Great, @cirio70.
Can you find out the SNR on these 21.6E muxes, which I know are on the West beam?

Bravo, it's brilliant, Stephan !!

11579.90 H 512 2/3 (DVB-S): Radio Mediterranèe
11598.96 H 256 3/4 (DVB-S): Radio Chada
11604 H: Could be one of the radios we found above
11611 H 5453 ACM/VCM

Bye

I wish I had a stronger signal to be sure that all the muxes found by IQmonitor are real. That's why I couldn't work with the dongle. Too many have 170 symbol rates, which makes me wonder :confused

A couple of days ago I had a look at the 21.5E low symbol rate signals around 11603H using the Amsat DL DVB demod program and managed to lock two of them but no audio found.
11603.1H DVB-S s/r175 and 11603.9H DVB-S s/r175. As I didn't know the fec it was very difficult to resolve the signal and get "sync confidence"=32.

This morning I have managed to lock a DVB-S2 signal at 21.5E. Complete lock with audio using VLC player. 11604.4H s/r=175 8PSK 3/4 from SNRT labelled DAKHLA.

A couple more found at 21.5E with DVB-S2 s/r=175 8PSK 3/4. 11604.6H=SNRT LAAYOUNG and 11604.8H SNRT OJD/

There is another one very close to the Radio Chada services that are around 11599.50, this one I get at 11600.02, SR 186 3/4. No proper ID, just program 1000. Think it could be Moroccan though.

Looks like 6 different frequencies active so far (I think there's probably more there!), station on 11600.02 186 3/4 is Medina FM from Casablanca.E21B RADIO.jpg
