Had a browse through the forum but there aren’t recent product recommendations.
Does anybody have a wireless video sender they’d recommend that would work with my Vu+ Duo 4K? It doesn’t need to be amazing, but I just need something for the in laws when the visit so they can watch TV in the other room.

About 15 meters max and pretty thin in the necessary direction.

Could use the WebIF or a cheap streaming stick. Or feed the satellite cable through the window using those flat cable sections that allow the window to be closed.

The webif is a bit clunky, I use it for myself in another room but I wouldn’t want to inflict it on them since they’re not techy and don’t speak English.
I was thinking about extending the satellite output but the layout of the house makes it a real faff (the dish and main box are just a few meters apart on the same wall, the spare room is on the other side of the house in the opposite corner) and they need to be able to control the master box anyway in order to control the motor on the dish.

I've heard good things about Nyrius (French) but unsure if they have a UK outlet.

Things get expensive if you wish full UHD at the other end.

Though I would suggest using a wired (dual ethernet) solution

The Nyrius looks good but doesn’t allow IR control unfortunately. I’m not even too bothered if it’s something analogue. I’d rather have something that had a picture that was OK with sparklies than nothing at all. They have analogue cable at home so they don’t expect much in the way of picture!

Ah, I'm using the GTCombo, bluetooth remote means IR is redundant at that range.

What does a dual Ethernet solution look like?

Seems quite hard to find something to do this these days. Most equipment available seems to rely on SCART.

Actually there are single cable units. You will need an IR blaster bulb.

I have seen a few people use a second enigma2 box and import the channels from the main box. I think the motor can be moved in that way, but I am not 100% certain on that.

Interesting. Might be a bit too tricky for my purposes but I hadn’t thought of that, thanks for sharing.

Is an HDMI Out -> SCART -> tv eye a silly idea?

I was wondering about that. I wouldn’t mind getting another cheap enigma2 box if that was a simple enough solution.

u could buy a cheap octagon sf88 and use its E2-IPTV plugin which pulls the bouquets from your duo

IIRC only the SX88 4K, SX87 & SX89 are able to do that, don't think the earlier SX88 & SX88+ have this feature.

Sounds like a good idea actually. Do you know if it will stream encrypted channels? I suspect there should be any problem since computers can handle it ok. I assume there aren’t problems with different images either?

Sorry I don't know though I haven't seen anything to suggest it only works with FTA channels. My guess is if it works when using the WebIf, it'll work.

It works, even the motor can be used.
I use it myself to get TV in the bedroom.

The enigma2 box is connected via wifi to the enigma2 box who is connected to the dish
