There were some great music channels in the past. Viva from Germany (and to some extent Poland) and TMF from Belgium and Netherlands were some of the best. ZTV from Sweden was decent as well at times.

That is until they were all bought by Viacom and ruined it all with reality dross and sitcoms.

totally agree Viva Deutschland & TMF were the bomb. all the eurodance, happy hardcore, gabba & hard trance you could ever want.

sadly after twenty five years Viva is being closed down on 31st decemeber so Comedy Central can go twenty four hours Viacom to close former MTV challenger VIVA

sadly its been a shaddow of its former self since Viacom brought it. you will never be forgotten my old friend

I have a liking for some of the music from that period .. if i,m in the mood i tune to online radio - "Digitally Imported" ... www.di.fm dozens of styles to choose from ...

I use to like TMB on 62E with it's selection of Turkik music but they ended up out or reach on 42E East beam and although it's now available online it's not quite the same as watching via sat.

i was playing em styles on pirate radio & weekly in clubs so abit hard not to get nostalgic

Vintage TV is finished - the administrators report makes interesting reading. The staff have all been sacked, the broadcasting licences have been surrendered & the only bit of the business with any value left is the video library

Seeing as the administrators closed them down thats now impossible. The website is still up, but isnt being updated & will be sold as the administrators dismantle the company. If Ive read the finacial report correctly Vintage owed near enough half a million quid by the time they threw the towel in so every penny counts for the creditors.
