More to the point - why is it only in the UK where pron is seem to be a problem / threat to children? The rest of europe seems to be quite happy as long as its encoded and not easily available to underage viewers.

Gotta correct your "only in UK...."......

Here in Germany,a local provider,no matter if FTA or PAY-TV (e.g. PREMIERE),
is LEGALLY NOT ALLOWED to PROVIDE PORNOGRAPHIC MATERIAL via TV-services!!!!!

THAT IS MIDDLE AGE!!!!!!

The ONLY way,a television broadcaster is allowed to show mature content,
is,NO JOKE,via DATA-BROADCASTING!!!!!!

PREMIERE does have a pay-per-view mature content channel,but it only exists,because it is classified as a DIGITAL_DATA_STREAM,NOT a TV-broadcast!!!!!!!!!!

There you see how fu--ed up politicians think and act!!!!

Well,yes,there is a lot of nacked FLESH on air,as You mentioned e.g. every night on DSF!!!
And of course You can buy mature content mags. and videos,at the newsstand,fuel station,where ever!!!!

BUT,as I said in my last post,IT IS PROHIBITED BY LAW to AIR any HARDCORE on TV,no matter if FTA or PAY-TV/PAY-PER-VIEW!!!!!!!!

More to it,and NOW it gets real jerky,IT IS ONLY FORBIDDEN FOR GERMAN
COMPANYS(such as PREMIERE)!!!!!!!!!

A NON-GERMAN company,say operating from Austria/The Netherlands etc.,
NONTHELESS IS ALLOWED TO OFFER HARDCORE PROGRAMMES TO GERMAN
SATELLITE VIEWERS!!!!!
They are allowed to advertise,promote,offer and sell their`product`!!!!!!

So,what do you think about that??????

There might be a similar situation in Poland......
There is only one SOFTCORE channel in POLSAT pack.(Playboy) on Hotbird 13 degs.
And neither soft-,nor hardcore could I find in CYFRA + pack(also 13 degs.)!!!

So,at least,we are not stuck alone in somewhat PRE-historian time!!!!

Why do Ofcom make such a big deal out of a TV Channel anyway???? Havent they seen what kind of stuff is going round on the internet??? At the end of the day, as long as no people animals or old folk were harmed (against their will) just let them be!!!
