@Gerry55 has been having issues with outbound data connections from his plane tracking set up.

VRS works fine for his inbound connections - so he can see my planes no problem. So we know its almost set up, but something is awry somewhere and I cant find it. I cant see his data feed.

The tracking software and the vrs are on a rasp pi. He is set up like this. (Connection details removed for obvious reasons...) The details on my vrs are set to those and all I get is "connection refused" messages. It has to be something simple, but we have been going round in circles trying to get this going! Ayone got any ideas? I thought it might possibly be a firewall issue, but all suggestions are welcome.

We have got a bit further - it seems to be an issue with the Virgin Hub 3 refusing connections from VRS.

Follow up - Gerry55 found a setting deep int he virgin router config that needed changing, so we now have connectivity. Which is a step forward! Now we need to get the aircraft data forward to my vrs set up. We will get there eventually :)

I am at the same stage.I think that Gerry55 is getting my data but although in receiver he is connected I am getting no Data.It looks to be something in the Rebroadcast settings.I have my thinking cap on it does not seem to be doing any good though.:)

I have been thinking.Yes I have been known to do that:).When Chris is on line I get Gerry99 Data from the merged feed
That means that Gerry99 is sending Data to Chris successfully. That looks like the basic settup is right. It looks like the problem may be in the Receiver/Gawber settings or Rebroadcast/Gawber settings.
That assumes that the basic settings are the same as when Chris was online

Im getting Gerry's data flowing therough correctly now, so you guys should be seeing his data too. We are not sure what changed as he hasnt been tinkering! :D Chris still appears to be offline as I get no connection on his receiver so its not going to be the rebroadcast from there.

PM me for a screenie of his settings if you need them

Nothing from Gerry here. What's he calling himself now? The last version he sent to me, his name was Dump 1090 Pi, location Carlisle.

Thanks, all OK now.

What I did was to rebroadcast the Pi ip and port that VRS imports my Aircraft from, (Dump1090) simple when you know how.

It’s taken me about 4 months to learn!

Took me a while too. You should see all the PMs between me and the guys on the subject

Ive just had everyones feeds switched into my new computer - pretty impressive tracking between us - north west as far as the Western Isles, & almost into Belgium in the far south east :D

The address I’m using at the moment has to be renewed every 30 days so I will get a more permanent one.
I will let everyone know when it happens.

Yup mine is on a 30 day cycle as well. No-ip who I use flags up sales on their service every so often.

I don't want to spoil the party but I am not getting Gerry on the merged feed..First clip is Carlisle pretty impressive range.Second clip is the merged feed that I get.

Have you ticked the box in the options to add Gerry into your merged feed? VRS - tools - options - merged feed

I think Gerry must have his 1090 antenna on top of that large comms tower just south of Carlisle you can see from the M6 :-rofl2

Nope. Have now, all is well. There are more boxes to tick than an online form.

Its home made 1090MHz ADS-B collinear antenna, feeding a FlightAware Pro Stick Plus, through a Uputronics 1090MHz ADS-B Filtered Preamp to a Pi2 running Dump1090
