Vu+ Duo / Solo questions

Hi,

I'm looking to replace my Dreambox DM500S clone with something a bit more stable, the dreambox has been a bit of a pain from the moment I got it.

I've heard the Vu+ Duo / Solo is very good.

Are there clones of this box floating around that I need to avoid? Can anyone recormend a good UK based seller with cheapest price and guarenteed to not be a clone (if of course the clone problem is an issue with these boxes?).

Also are there any futher differences between the solo and duo other than the extra sat input on the duo?

When a shop says it comes with FTA firmware, how easy is it to update... I've updated the dreambox firmware a few times. Basically I want CCCam...

I've not heard of any clones, but if you use a reputable seller such as one of the forum sponsors you should be fine.

They are very easy to update via USB, and then addons can be downloaded direct to the reciever. If you can update a Dreambox you should have no problem with a Vu+

Delivered to me at the hotel i was staying in while working in London outside of normal business hours.

A very pleasent company to deal with, which makes a change these days. Definately think i've found my new supplier :D

All i've got to do now is learn how to use it :-lmao
