Hi, vu+ solo 2 HD
I suddenly lost signa & all channels for Astra 28 on tuner A . I tried replacing lnb but no change .
I was receiving ok Hotbird/Astra on tuner B on 2nd dish .
Trying to troubleshoot I swapped cables on back of receiver and now I cant recieve any signal from either tuner or either dish.

there's is 13v/18v voltage coming from receiver on both Tuners though I havent checked at LNBs yet . Not a sniff of a signal/scan .
i wonder if tuner A could "short/blow" out all my lnbs when I swapped the cable ?
Has anyone any experience of this problem and things that could be wrong?
novice here

Can you please explain your system, in more detail.
You state that you have 2 dishes, is one pointing at 13E and the other 28.2E?

Are you using any Diseqc switches?

Are your LNB's single, duo, quad outputs, or do you have a 6 degree monobloc LNB, on any of your dishes?

Is your receiver working correctly, apart from no signal, e.g. when you press the menu key can you access all menu options? If so can you please post your tuner settings, for bot tuners.

If you swapped the cables with the power on you may have fried the switch, I would try a new switch. (with the power off when changing it)

I agree with @Terryl - Having blown innumerable DiSEqc switches myself through tinkering with dishes, cables, LNBs etc without having bothered to power down. Fickle and weak beasts, they are! But, thankfully, cheap.

When you don't have a new switch, just bypass the switch for testing.
No need to buy something new, when you don't know if the old one is defective.

Blowing a diseqc switch usually can only happen, when you swap cables at the LNB end of the switch, not at the receiver end.

Apart from that: please describe your setup in more detail, as @Mickha wrote!

Thanks Guys
setup as follows
Dish 1 : Astra 28 with Quad Lnb with only one cable connected to directly to receiver on tuner A
Dish 2 : Single Lnb to Hotbird
: Single lnb to Astra 19 These are connected via 4 port Disecq (2 unused ) to receiver Tuner B

Interesting about possibilty Disecq switch being blown - I'll try a direct route to DIsh 2 to test

The original fault to ASTRA LNB still exists though , I'll check voltage at LNB end ... but its a new LNB so it should be ok

OK , Sorted !!! Thanks for guidance ...
Ye were spot on with the Disecq Switch , Didnt know this a possibility .... I bypassed the switch and got a signal !!niiice

Now onto the Astra on dish one ...I was getting good voltage at receiver so up the ladder ...... 1 or 2 volts at LNB so on checking cable the copper strands had frayed to nothing at the F connector Stripped back and redone

Thks again ... .I was worried Id damaged receiver and was pricing new ones so am relieved its just a new Disecq switch

Maybe the two till-now unused ports of the 4/1 switch are still functioning properly?
Then you can use those.
