Watching European Channels in New Zealand

Hi,
I live in New Zealand and really keen on buying a dreambox and being able to watch European channels (mostly Turkish and UK channels or the rest of the world!). But the problem is I have no idea how dreambox works and I don't know where to start. People in here not really into that so not much info. So can someone help me with which dreambox to buy and if I need a bigger dish and the most important how do you install keys from the net? I want to watch SKY NZ as well, is that possible?

A DB is just like any other satellite receiver - it on ly works with whatever channels are being transmitted into your area.

Therefore its very unlikely you will be able to watch much European stuff unless the satellites covering Kiwiland are transmitting European channels.
 
Short answer: You can't receive channels broadcast to Europe in NZ no matter what equipment you buy.

Your dish must point to the satellite you want to receive from, and need a clear line of sight.
From where you are, there's a planet in the way between you and the sats. No good.
For Sky NZ, you need to buy a box from Sky, as the Sky-specific signals are encrypted using a method that no DB can decode.
With a Dreambox, you will, however, be able to get the NZ freeview channels in the clear (sat position 160 degrees East).
With a fixed dish you may also be able to pick up australian stuff from the same sat.
With a motorised dish, there may be other Asian sats you can see, but as NZ is quite a way away, you may need large dish.
I am no expert on coverage in that region, so others will need to advise.

If you insist on European channels, you need not a Dreambox but a Slingbox + friends/relatives in Europe with the proper sat-receiver/dish and both of you need to have very good internet connections. But that's a whole different kettle of fish.
