Waveguide custom construction- KU Band

Anyone up on custom waveguide construction for KU Band?

That is... best material, optimum shape .. square or round ... best size .. optimum.... maximum length ... optimum/ maximum radius of curves... signal loss due to waveguides...

'Ku band' is rather vague.

Mid or optimum for universal KU lnb range.


actually... a size for the low end & high end.

Cut the feedhorn of a normal LNB..you will get the Waveguide

It worked perfectly on my conical horn´s.

Hi Casser, I remember your conical horns very well.

Have a number of feed horns & c120 fittings and have measured a number of waveguides plus equations to calculate the optimum sizes v frequency of round & oblong waveguides etc. and have some waveguide material to fabricate them now. Always good to get info' from different sources though.
