Waveguide extension as LTE filter for Ku band?

I want to ask you about ferccaro lnb
I live in iraq and we receive eshailsat 26 E
I have interference in like 4 frequencies
And the cell here is only 4g+ we don’t have 5g
Does ferccaro can be helpful with ku band frequencies like 11350
11390
11430 ?

Cell towers CAN interfere with satellite signal, obviously not directly but due to the down conversion in the LNB which puts the signal exactly into the band where mobile systems operate. The interfering signal from mobile must be strong enough to find its way into the downconverted side. This may happen through the LNB input and also through the output coaxial cable.

Ferraro LNBs are best for interference rejection, and I tested many of them. But, as usual, the most important element is antenna dish: Do you have high quality dish, can you increase it's size and set position very precisely? If that won't help coaxial cable can be still checked. After the dish is optimized, there will be turn for Fraccaro.

Dish is very will optimized and positioned to the best level
And before that i tried many dish technicians they tried many positions and places on the roof but nothing worked
I ordered Ferccaro lnb a week ago
And hope it can solve the problem
 
The location of mobile tower is not the worst possible (which would be in front of your dish:). In this case bigger dish is the first and potentially most effective step to take. Such dish provides stronger signal to the LNB and has reduced sidelobes. I would suggest hiding the coaxial cable. Either it can be put inside the dish arm or behind the arm, opposite to the tower and roll around it metal foil touching the connector. It won't hurt, may help. Also, in your case attaching C band scalar ring to the LNB feed horn like the one in the photo could help. DSC_1419.webp

Or it will increase the the noise cause it receives much bigger signal even the signals that come from downconverter repeater of the cell tower..?

I had assumed the downconverted / IF stages (post LNB) had already been eliminated prior to asking questions on a waveguide thread.

My friend i really don’t understand what downconverter actually mean and even my english is not first language so I try to express it with all i have to you
I join this group because I didn’t find a similar local group to discuss these satellites issues specifically interference
So forgive me if i say something unrelated or anything,
This interference is make mad
Several week of trying to find a proper solution and still searching..
 
The terminology for a "Down-converter" used in this post) is received by the LNB* in question, is when a higher frequency signal (the 11 GHz to 12 GHz satellite band) is received by the LNB and then mixed in what is called a mixer circuit with a second signal from what is called an local oscillator, (LO for short) these two signals are mixed together in this mixer, the signals create several different signals, some are good and some are not needed. (bad stuff)

The secondary signals are what is needed to be sent down the coax to the satellites receiver, the first signal is the one send down by the satellites transponder (lets say 12.5 GHz) It is then mixed internally in the LNB, the second signal from the LO is at lets say 11 GHz, after they are mixed together the only one that is sent out of the mixer (done by using internal filters) is called an IF (intermediate Frequency) this one is at a frequency of 1.5 GHz (or 1500 MHz) this lower frequency can be sent down a standard 75 Ohm coax to the satellites receiver in use.


*LNB= Low Noise Block down converter.

Question everything (yes, even the suspected location of the source), try everything possible (this is why I gave some hints and there might be more, like trying metal sheets as shields on the tower side, or the scalar ring mentioned). But normally the first logical step is trying with bigger/better dish. Even in this case there is potential for big surprise, the interference might even get worse which will rather indicate the source is in the front of antenna. Then the option is prime focus dish. By the way have you tried what happens if the dish is turned to other satellites? Is interference showing up only on this satellite or also on others? Still another question: maybe there are other potential sources like e. g. strong WiFi/microwave repeaters?

Any satellite i try to set is effected with this issue, now i have to method to try
First is ferccaro lnb LTE filter
And thats on the way from Uk shipping
The other is metal mesh or EMF
let’s see what happen with lnb then i will try the metal mesh

Hopefully Fraccaro will help but one has to be prepared for surprises. As previously mentioned, hiding coaxial cable on the roof or even replacing it with top quality one would not make things worse.

Perhaps asking what type of cable , plus length and orientation from the dish front is the next set of questions.
 
cable potentially can be inserted into the dish arm but complete solution is top quality cable with 6 layers of screening and 140dB interference rejections. Such cable can be found e. g. on ebay: SAT Kabel 140dB Kupfer CLASS A++ 6-fach ø 8,4mm

By the way, there is interesting test for mobile interference. Direct the dish to the mobile tower and start blind scan in the receiver. It might be then possible to find fake "transponders" since mobile signal and satellite signal modulations are similar. Of course this assumes the receiver has good blind scan.
