I have 2 different Dreambox 500s and the new Dreambox 518s
I cant get any TV stations on the 500s and the 518 gets 2 channels on the Chinasat6b - I have tried every setting and it just does not help I have 2 other satellite boxes one is a "strong" and it gets 25 channels on the same dish
I have spent days reconfiguring the transponder numbers, I reinstalled different images no

Is it important to set the FEC? and how does the box know what sort of lnb you have when you set it on "one single satellite"
 
Chinasat 6B is a C-band bird so you need to set the lnb to your C-band local oscillator frequency (probably around 5150MHz)

What channels are you actually getting? this is an important question as we might be able to tell which satellite you are actually aligned onto if its not CS 6B

What size dish are you using? The Chinasat 6B footprint map suggests a 2.5m diameter dish is going to be needed in New Zealand as the downlink power is very poor (36bBW)
