Weak Transponder(s)

I live in Germany and I'm experiencing difficulties when watching some HD channels of my SKY ROI package.
When I switch on my SKY HD Digibox there is very often a message "No satellite signal being received"
Sometimes this is for all channels and sometimes it is only for the channels of transponder 12 344 and 12 363.
Most times a reboot of my Digibox solves the problem.
I've also got a Vantage 7100 (watching the German channels on Astra 19.2) and here I noticed that for the transponders 12344 and 12 363 on Astra 2 the signal quality and strength is much lower than on all other transponders of Astra 2 and Eurobird. For example the Vantage shows for: BBC 1 signal strength 84% and signal quality 80 %
ESPN HD signal strength 72% and 54 %
My dish is a Wavefrontier 90 with an 17/4 multiswitch .
Is the signal on transponder 12344 and 12 363 really weaker ? Or is there something wrong with my dish or the multiswitch?

I suspect the problem is with your Sky Box rather than anything else. judging by what you say.

Which Make/Model is it?
 
It is a Thompson.

What me worries me is that even on my Vantage the signal for those transponders is weak. And only for those two.
 
Yes, I understand - but the thing is you said some reception could be restored by rebooting the Thomson.

And Thomson exhibit such symptoms when their Power Supply Smoothing Capacitors degrade (and they do - all too frequently).
