The landlord will be paying so I won't be out of pocket.

To be honest, when it comes to plumbing, I am a bit useless.. and rather scared of breaking everything completely! Water, gas (oil) and electrics don't mix well in my books.
Fairy Nuff buddy ..
Gas is definitely to be avoided imo ...unless you have had suitable training and have the correct gear..
..and you're not on your own being scared of Leccy for the same reasons....but Water is no biggie..
But as you say ..you wont be paying so that's ok..
;)

Mainly fine and warm today. Heavy, thundery rain on Saturday.

Today:
A dry, warm and sunny day for many. Cloudier across northern Scotland, with a few showers, and hazy sunshine with some showery outbreaks of rain for parts of southwest England, western Wales and Northern Ireland. Also breezy in the southwest.

Tonight:
Scattered heavy and thundery outbreaks of rain moving northeastwards across southwestern England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Elsewhere, mostly dry with clear spells. Humid across southern parts.
