I have dm520 works perfect on kuband.
Go to cband it picks nothing up, will not scan a a single transponder.
So I got fed up after an hours trying, and turned on the technomate which uses the same lnb, BINGO
the dreambox lit up(uses the same lnb).
Thought it could be a coincidence, so after a few minutes decided to turn the technomate off to see what happens, and straight away the dreambox lost the signal.
Now on ku band they both work as expected, just this weird anomoly on C band

Do all the STBs have separate feeds or are they daisychained? give us some clues, what lnb do you have?

Are the DM's LNB settings for C Band correct?

first time tried cband on the dreambox, only had a few weeks, must be nearly right though I have a picture now and about 50 channels scanned in.
But as soon as i turn the technomate off the dreambox loses the signal.

titanium cpl lnb- works great for over a year, dont think any problem there
using a 2way splitter-whick works perfect with the same boxes IF i use kuband

Does the 2 way splitter have a DC power path on both sides?

If so then it could have a bad side, as only the one receiver on the good side is powering the LNB.

This is why it's not a good idea to use a splitter but a 4 x 2 or 4 x 4 switch.

he splitter works on kuband
You may have just been lucky, your on a completely different band now, something may be hinky with the splitter and it just likes kU band for some reason.

Try it without the splitter directly to the DM520 and see what happens.

tried it without, just the same, not a big issue but I now have an obsession as to why.
